Most of our events are all 7 days, typically from Saturday to Saturday.
You are welcome to arrive later or leave earlier, however, you would have to cover the full week cost.
In Team Building and special cases, the event may not run from Saturday to Saturday, so please check the dates carefully.
It is possible to arrive late or leave early. You just need to organise transport at your own expense to meet the yachts when you arrive or find your way back to the mainland when you need to leave.
Ferry connections are good, so it isn’t usually a problem. For more info you can drop us an email to [email protected].
In our events such as Student Sailing Week, Skipper Academy, Sailing Opening etc. most of the expenses are already included in the price.
However there are still few things that are not included:
The yachting company require payment of a refundable deposit on your first day. Providing there is no damage, this will be returned in full at the end of the week.
You’ll need to make your own way to the marina from the airport – if you are taking a taxi, make sure to take out cash first!
You’ll spend some nights away from the dock. For these, you’ll need to grab a water taxi to take you to and from some Skener Yachting events.
The food for the skipper and host are not included in the price so don’t forget them when you plan your meals 🙂
The additional costs that our SY events cover:
Yes, it is also possible to rent a motor yacht.
The fridge on a yacht is just a small one that sits under the counter, so don’t buy too many fresh things such as meat, cheese and milk on the first day. You can always top up along the way.
The yacht will have a good amount of storage for food/drink which does not need to be kept chilled, for example under the floorboards and in the walls.
Yes, there are shower heads in most bathrooms, which you pull out from the hand basin, and fix to a bracket on the wall above to form a shower. In addition, there is a shower hose outside in the cockpit, which some guests find more comfortable to shower with using swimwear.
Yes, towels and sheets will be provided for each crew member on the yacht.
You’ll get one towel per person, so we recommend that you each bring an extra towel so that you have one as a beach towel and one as a shower towel.
Most yachts have the possibility to connect your phone to the sound system via an AUX cable or bluetooth. Be sure to bring an AUX cable with you!
No, but remember that storage space on the yachts is limited so we recommend packing in a small (cabin sized) soft bag.
Arriving a couple of hours late isn’t usually a problem, as the rest of your crew can take care of the yacht check in before you arrive (just be sure to give them your share of the yacht security deposit!).
Depending on the route the yachts may set sail as soon as they are ready, or stay in the marina the first night. If the yachts have departed by the time you arrive you will need to catch a ferry to meet them. The ferry connections are good, however you may need to wait until the following morning.
Your skipper will be able to recommend you things to do and places to eat too! A great way to explore some of the islands is by renting a scooter, a car or even a jet-ski. If you want to go for guided tours please ask a skipper or go to the local tourist office once you get into port to find out what they have to offer.
It is up to you and your crew what you want to do and where you want to go during your week. The route is our suggestion and where SY flotilla will be, as well as SY parties and events. You can decide for yourself if you want to attend all the events or not, and you are welcome to go off route to different locations on some of the nights if you prefer.
