Student sailing week is intended for all students and those who feel like ones!
Student time comes and goes and it’s important to use every opportunity to make memories.
The best reward for completing your student obligations and final exams is a much-deserved vacation – a week of relaxation and enjoyment. There are few better locations for a holiday, new friendships, or even love, than the stunning Adriatic Sea.
Seven unforgettable days at the end of the academic year will reset and recharge any student deserving of a vacation, while also preparing him for new challenges.
Do you remember the trip you were never able to arrange with your friends? SSW will help you organize an unforgettable summer for you and your company!
The plan is to depart between 1 PM and 5 PM from different marinas in order for everyone to sail into Stari Trogir cove. The cove in which our flotilla will meet and where an unforgettable trip will begin. We spend our first night in the cove, where you’ll become familiar with the ship, the crew and the whole SSW squad!
On Day 2 the flotilla sets sail towards the island of Vis, one of Croatia’s most fascinating islands. On our way there, each skipper will conduct our sailing school, which will teach you how to trim your sails and steer a sailboat using the wind. With its rich history and natural beauty, Vis is a must-see for any tourist visiting Croatia’s islands. We thoroughly recommend independent island tours using mopeds, or the “Military Route” in SUVs where you can tour round the whole island, while learning more about the history of Vis. For your evening entertainment, we have arranged a party at the renowned Caffe Bar Bejbi.
On Day 3 our flotilla sails around the island of Vis, visiting the famous Blue Grotto on the island Biševo and Stiniva cove on Vis. We continue our journey towards the island of Šćedro, during which, if our guests desire, we carry on with sailing school. The plan is to arrive in one of Šćedro’s coves in the afternoon, where we gather our flotilla in a circle. Šćedro Island is interesting for multiple reasons. It’s filled with great historical detail which can all be seen on foot, and due to its small population, our SSW raft party can begin at 5 PM, and continue long into the night!
On Day 4, after breakfast and some rest, we sail towards the island of Hvar, or Vela Graška cove to be more precise, near the city of Hvar. There, we continue our day with a SSW beach party at Calma Beach Bar. Sightseeing, going to many excellent bars and restaurants, and visiting the fortress of Fortica, is possible throughout the day. In the evening, we’ve organized a SSW party at Kiva Bar.
After Hvar, we sail to the northwestern shore of Šolta Island, one of the coves known for its amazing restaurants. While sailing towards Šolta, your skipper will help you progress through sailing school, and also, give you a tour around Šolta’s coves ideal for taking a swim, relaxing and take in your extraordinary surroundings. We continue our evening program on board, stationed in the cove!
On Day 6 we head towards the city of Primošten. You can use our sailing trip as an opportunity to visit beautiful hidden coves or hone your sailing skills, steering the ship and letting the wind do the rest. Whichever option you choose, you can count on one last SSW party held at club Aurora in Primošten, set to start in the evening.
On Day 7 our ships begin the journey back to their marinas which they sailed out of, due to arrive by 4 PM. Each ship chooses their route and activities to use our final day together to the fullest. At the end of a week filled with new experiences, friendships, and memories, pause for a moment to take it all in, have a look around the incredible scenery you find yourself in, and try not to be overwhelmed. Your time as a student is one of the most beautiful stages in life and we’re sure this has been a week you will remember.
On Day 8, after spending the night on board in the starting marina, comes the end of an unforgettable week. In the morning, our SSW crew disembark. Don’t forget to keep in touch with your newly-made friends and frame the photos which will stay with you for the rest of your life.
